The Wind Above the Clouds (2021) | Pre-Production
Khaled, a good-hearted young Palestinian refugee boy who is cursed by his imagination, uses the opportunity of his cousin’s visit from Germany to defy all odds so he could reunite with his Syrian refugee girlfriend that he fell in love with in Lebanon.
The story is based on True events after a Palestinian refugee boy sneaked his way into Beirut’s airport without an identification card and he wasn’t noticed until the airplane flew half way through to its destination. The genre of my film is tragicomedy mixed with adventure and it focuses on coming of age, in which I will explore how two boys from the same generation even though they are born in different countries deal with situations. My main focus is on the privileges and disadvantages they have in their lives, and how it shapes them. The film is an adventure in the limitless world of children.
